Give Your Gear Another Go

What items does AGS accept for consignment?

Another Go Sports (AGS) accepts a wide range of high-quality, lightly used mountain gear, including:

  • Mountain bikes and mountain bike parts

  • Skis, snowboards, and related boots

  • Technical clothing for outdoor activities (e.g., ski pants, jackets, puffys, rain shells)

  • Kayaks, paddle boards, and lightweight camping gear

  • Packs and bags related to these activities

We do not accept:

  • Gear over ten years old

  • Undergarments, weapons, or bladed tools

  • Helmets, water bottles, water bladders, goggles, and sunglasses (exceptions apply for visibly unused items with tags)

  • Any item that fails our inspection or does not meet our quality standards

What is the inspection process?

All gear must be clean, free of dirt, dust, grease, and grime, and ready for use. Items with moving or fastened parts must be tightened and safe. For bicycles, a professional 15-point safety inspection by Bikesmith Cyclery is required. This process is free and typically takes 5-10 business days. While AGS can provide an initial assessment, the final quote for any necessary repairs will come from Bikesmith. The seller is responsible for ensuring that required repairs are completed and paid for before the bicycle is listed for sale. Repairs are not deducted from the sale proceeds; they must be settled before the sale.

How much does it cost?

AGS uses a tiered percentage split system based on the final sale price of the item:

  • Tier 1 (up to $100): Seller receives 50%, AGS receives 50%

  • Tier 2 ($101 - $299): Seller receives 60%, AGS receives 40%

  • Tier 3 ($300 - $699): Seller receives 65%, AGS receives 35%

  • Tier 4 ($700+): Seller receives 70%, AGS receives 30%

How do I get paid?

Sellers will be paid promptly after their items are sold. Payments can be made in cash (subject to availability) or electronically via Venmo or Zelle. A detailed sales report will be provided with the payment, ensuring full transparency.

Who determines the price?

The seller and AGS will mutually agree on the initial price of consigned items. Items cannot be listed until the price is agreed upon by AGS and the seller. Most prices can be determined immediately after an in-shop inspection, though some items may require up to 24 hours for an accurate pricing assessment. While the seller's input is valued, AGS will ultimately determine the price using a sophisticated approach that leverages internet research, artificial intelligence, and proprietary methods. This process ensures accurate pricing based on current market trends, industry knowledge, and comparable sales within our geographic region.

What happens if my item doesn't sell immediately?

If an item remains unsold after 90 days, AGS will evaluate the pricing. AGS may reduce the price without contacting the seller by up to 20% after an item has been listed for 90 days. After 180 days, AGS may further reduce the price by up to 30% without notifying the seller. If a price reduction beyond 30% is necessary, AGS will contact the seller via text or email for approval. It's important to note that price reductions are not common unless an item is clearly overpriced or has received overwhelmingly negative feedback.

Can I list my consigned items on other platforms while they're with AGS?

No, the seller agrees not to list the consigned items with other consignment stores or on online sales platforms such as Facebook, Craigslist, etc., while under contract with AGS. This exclusivity ensures that AGS's marketing efforts are not undermined by conflicting listings. Violating this exclusivity clause may result in the termination of the agreement and potential legal action if significant losses occur.

What if I change my mind and want to retrieve my unsold items?

Sellers may retrieve unsold items at any time during business hours without penalty, provided the item has not been sold. However, once an item is sold, it cannot be returned to the seller, even if it remains on AGS premises.

What happens if there's a dispute regarding my consigned items?

Any disputes arising from the Seller Agreement will be exclusively resolved in the state or federal courts located in Prescott, Arizona. AGS encourages open communication to resolve any issues before they escalate to legal proceedings.

Can AGS change the terms of the Seller Agreement?

Yes, AGS reserves the right to amend the Seller Agreement at any time. Sellers will be notified of any amendments via email and/or text. If a seller does not agree to the amended terms, they may terminate the Agreement by retrieving their unsold items.
